Hello, and thank you for your interest in Hunter McGuire School. Founded in 1987, Hunter McGuire is an independent, co-educational, nondenominational elementary school for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The school, which is accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools, has a student body of just over 100. Located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia on a ten-acre campus in Verona, Hunter McGuire serves families from Harrisonburg, Staunton, and Waynesboro. Our mission as a school community is to instill the highest levels of scholarship, integrity, leadership, and citizenship in each student. Your child will benefit from a curriculum that provides a unique integration of core educational values with extensive enrichment programs, providing for the development of a well-rounded child.
